I don't think at all we should be dumping Digne, because in this age of 5 subs (a number that's only ever likely to increase rather than decrease) I like the idea of having certain players in certain positions that you can run into the ground for an hour in every game, let them do their damage, and then replace them with another high quality player that presents the opposition with a fresh, different problem. Fullback being the most obvious. I hope come the first of February we'll have the strength to do the same at right-back.
Agree with this, we are moving towards the starter and finisher concept like Rugby.
It worked well last season with Digne and Moreno.

I don't think anyone actually wants to get rid of Digne. It's more just given what happened in the summer it's a possibility that he will move on, if not in January then next summer. We were on the verge of signing a replacement for him so we still would have had the option of doing what you say.

No, bollocks to that, if we're a better team with Moreno playing then play him.
Above is your response to us saying Digne holds his place v Spurs.
No way is moreno ready and no way does Digne deserve dropping.

I've already explained it once, and how the fuck do you know if Moreno is ready?

Udogie apparently passed fit for them.

Shame, given he's pretty much the only one of their back four who can run a bit.

I still don't understand why he is playing against us. One match ban for a two yellow red. Ok, he has served that. But surely he should have also had an additional ban for receiving 5 yellows.

The red card overwrites the first yellow card so he's still on four yellows

If a player gets two yellow cards and thus a combined red, they're not seen as yellow cards anymore and just as the red card.

So Udogie is now on three yellow cards and one red (suspension served). Rather than five and a red.

Overwrites both of them I believe. The Premier League site shows him as being on three yellows.

Should be a cracking game. Both teams playing a high-line so let's see which keeper deals best with the 1-on-1's they are likely to face.

2-2.

I imagine Tielemans will start and Ramsey will come on later into the match. Should have Moreno on the bench again too.

Decent chance moreno will start I reckon

I'd be astounded.

What is it with people wanting to start players straight away after long term injuries?

Moreno got injured in May, had to have surgery and then obviously had a setback in September so it's not like he's returning from a dead leg.

He'll be eased in like Diego Carlos was as he's been out for nearly as long. Don't think it's a good idea for someone returning after a long layoff to have to go one v one v Son and Brennan Johnson personally.

Digne has done pretty well this season and just had two weeks off so fine with him continuing for the league games and Moreno can get back into action in the two remaining europa matches.

Porro can run but he leaves so much space behind in that right back area.

This is a really good match for Ramsey to return so hopefully he can get 20 minutes at the end on the left when Spurs are having to chase the game as we will exploit that area if Diaby drifts that side aswell.

Yup. Digne's on four yellows, so I imagine Moreno will be deputising at some point when he's banned. And like when Digne came in for Moreno, it's then up to Moreno to show why Digne shouldn't come back in.
