Yeah there's no way we should be this chipper! They're still very good, and Son is like a player grown in our arch-enemy's lab to exploit our biggest weakness. Yes, we have weapons to hurt them too, and nothing wrong with a bit of confidence, but this looks to me like a very tough one indeed, one of the toughest matches of the season.

Son was offside about 12 times in the VP game last season (although he was off form then compared to now).

In the away match he didn't do anything. They had one shot on target all game and that was with Olsen in goal.

Tell me I'm not imagining it but I'm sure we barely did any attacking that day for first half. But we scored first and then it was very comfortable so certainly the right strategy from UE given Liverpool had exposed the high line badly the game before.

It's the game where the players went in at half-time, feeling like they had been battered and we're in for a bollocking from the manager. Only to be told that the half had gone exactly how Emery had expected and that second half, the game would start to open up and opportunities would come. The game where the players started to realise just how good their manager is.

Ah yes, loved that at the time.

Halcyon days, new year's '23.  But these are also the days  8)

*only with Villa. The world, obviously, gets more buggered by the day.

It’s going to be bloody tough. Let’s not forget we’ve been a bit ropey away from home, so we’re going to have to properly turn up for this.

We're top of the table for home form, but only 13th for away, and that disparity needs sorting, starting at the weekend. Hopefully as Drummond says, their attacking intent will make it easier for us, but then again Newcastle and Liverpool's attacking intent led to us conceding 8 goals, so who knows?

It would help if we don't concede a goal in the opening 5 minutes

On the flipside if we score first it's pretty much game over

We are better than them, even with their first choice 11..... We'll come away with 3 points from this one no probs - Was more nervous about the Fulham game.

A draw would be a good result. Irrespective of their injuries they are good at home and we’re not that good away from Villa Park. We don’t do clean sheets so 2-2.

Falco and Mabbutt for them. Olney and a late Platt equalizer for us.

Son is a great player, back to his best since Kane left. He will cause us problems if not wrecked from all the travelling. Games after an international break are always a strange one so as much as everyone is expecting a 3-3 it might well be a dull enough one. Looks like they will have likes of Eric Dier playing in their defensive high line. Missing Maddison, Udogie, Van de Ven all key players for them this season, Bissouma and Romero suspended.
2-1 to us. Spurs bubble firmly popped. I'd give Bailey his start up with Watkins after his cameo the last day, Diaby to sit it out.

Under Unai haven't lost a Premier League away match against London opposition. West Ham, Brentford, Chelsea and Spurs.
