I wish I'd only just got mine.

Just seen on the facebook ticket exchange page that 2 adult tickets are available for Chelsea already, not sure if it is a scam or not, but if it's legit then why don't they just leave the tickets for the next in line

They'll buy them to secure the history in case we get to the final.

Just discovered this very useful thread started by Nil Lamptey back in November. I've been banging on about this on other threads whenever I feel sufficiently moved. Living in London I used to go to all six or seven London away games every season until my 'history' lapsed for reasons beyond my control. As I'm pretty near the Chelsea ground I thought I would be sure to get a ticket for the cup game, but they were all gone by 9 minutes after 5pm while I wrestled with 'error' and 'no tickets available' pages. Let's keep this thread going and keep writing to Villa admin (I've done it on a number of occasions) to see if they can come up with something a bit more practical than 'try the ballot'

Totally agree. The away club "closed shop" needs dismantling and parity restored

If you stopped going for a bit, then other people started/maintained at a time of extreme popularity, then I'm not sure you can really complain.

That's more or less what happened to us. We had enough to do a fair few a season then we stopped. I don't mind in the slightest.

The problem then becomes that you have an ageing customer base and a generation growing up who don't experience away games.

I remember a very well known rock band saying how they got tired of seeing the same faces on the rail at every show wherever they played. So they did something about it

There was a 5 year old pictured in the front row when we were on TV against Everton. Not sure when he built up his away history.

How do you know they were 5? My 8 year old will be at Chelsea legitimately from a season ticket he's had for half his life and having gone to Boro.

It’s an impossible task to make it fair
Fairer maybe but you’re never going to get a system that suits everyone when you have demand outstripping supply by a few thousand
I don’t know what the answer is because there isn’t one really

50% of all tickets into a ballot , would be fairer imo .
At the moment the model is go to all games or none which is ridiculous .
Many of us would be happy to do 3 or 4 a season and let others have a go .
