Too ponderous and slow. Sometime you need to just go direct.

Far too many players have been off it today, especially going forward.

This could be embarrassing if we’re not careful. Worst performance under Emery by a long long way so far.

No. Stevenage was.  Theres been a couple of other League and Cup performances too. The other 90% has been almost flawless.

Like we did so often to no avail for year after year before Emery made us good again?

This is nothing to do with Forest being more physical than us.
It’s everything to do with us being slow, ponderous, backwards and sideways.

It’s given forest time to get back, pack the centre of the field and stifle us.
We have not been (to use Unais own words) competitive. Not at all.
Walking football is bollocks in games like this.

Just feels like Forest have been better and have a really good game plan to negate us and get at us. I don't think we've been that bad, just herded into looking shite today. This is just the style we play now, when it works it's glorious, when we can't score it'll be frustrating.

They just sit deep, shove and kick the opposition a lot (and get away with it), and hoof long balls into the channels. It's fairly primitive.

It can work well if you concentrate, the referee is obliging, and your opponent gifts you an early goal.

We do seem to struggle to create anything against opposition who sit deep, but I do think that's a bit of a disservice to them. They've created about as much as we have I think. Whatever we were trying today just hasn't worked at all.

We’re playing a style that would be fine if we were winning 6-0

I think the ref has been shit - they seem to give them a free kick everytime a player goes down - but no such luck for us

I love Konsa. I’m getting fucking sick of him dad dancing to the half way line, hold the ball for 20 minutes, to pass it sideways 2 yards.

Don’t think I’d blame this one on the ref. Our game plan today is shit.

We should have learned from the Chelsea game that this ref gives us nothing. Need to cut out this sitting on the ground waving our arms about lark, and get back into the game.
