Aston Villa have won just one of their last 54 Premier League matches in which they went in at half-time 1-0 down (D8 L45).

Well that's a terrible stat.

I want to love Zaniolo, but he's just not doing anything of any note.

He’s been utter shit today, pointless player. Don’t much like this 3-5-2 bollocks either. This is like last season, lots of meaningless possession and no end product.

Kamara was incredibly lucky to get the free kick when he lost the ball on the edge of our box. For an excellent player like he is, he does that far far too often.

We knew about their pace (Elanga, Awonyi) beforehand. We need to stop the ball coming through - Kamara is playing as a 3rd CB which means we're light in the centre of the pitch. Hence the view that Tielemans should maybe come on, keeping Digne and Cash high.

If we are going to push Cash further forward, he has to deliver.  Almost every time he got the ball, he checked and went backwards.

Independent of that stat, I've been thinking all half that our way of playing really does not suit going a goal down.

There's something strangely comforting about us being utterly shite. This winning all the time lark was getting too much for me.

Maybe neither of them can be trusted for a full game. Zaniolo runs aimlessly at players to make them tired, then Bailey comes on and kills them off. Together they make one half decent player.
