What was the ‘you’ll never sing that’ chant? I couldn’t make it out.

It was definitely “conference” something. Probably in reference to them winning the conference in 2014. Doubt it was anything to do with our current European exploits.
"Conference champions - you'll never sing that"
It was very witty and rightly applauded by Villa fans.
Surely the true irony is we will probably be singing it next season

What a boring ninety minutes, i can't understand a team that comes to Villa park with no intention of competing, it was an embarrassment. A few isolated pieces of brilliance to brighten the day. I guess we have to come to terms with the fact that we are a brilliant side and most clubs will come just to keep the score down.

Cool pic from the game, they're all perfectly in sync.

Imagine supporting Man City and facing that for 30 games a year.

Wouldn't mind a few of their trophies, mind.

Sad I know but just picking up on luton fans forums etc they are saying today was the first time this season they have been totally outclassed. Just an interesting other perspective I'd wanted to throw in there.

West Ham tried to play a bit and lost by more, Brighton tried more and were thoroughly funeralled.

You can't blame them, it's the right move in the face of us.

Absolutely. As one of the wittiest fanbases out there, we should be appreciative of it.

One little minor quibble from today...whoever has told Dave Boulton to start acting like an overexcitable 20 year old needs to be given a quiet word.

I'm not sure when he started doing our PA but he's been on it since I've been going (1997) and very good he is too.

The stuff like shouting "Yipee aye yay" right before kick off and then over-egging the names of our goalscorers I just find very cringy. Disappointing if he's been told to change his style/tone just to appeal to a demograph of our fanbase as it's very unnecessary. It's something you'd expect to hear at a Reading or Fulham.

Not quite as bad as that one time we played music after scoring a goal which led to a revolt against Krulak on here but I'd rather it just got cut out and he announced the goalscorer in his normal professional manner.
I thought the same. Very cringeworthy. He’s no doubt had instructions from above.

Yep. He sounds so uncomfortable doing it and it's cheap, tacky and classless.

It was like a training game today, attack against defence.
The gulf in class was there for all to see.
The score line flattered them.

From watching back highlights there were at least four shockers we missed, Zaniolo, Watkins, Bailey, McGinn. Luton seemed to be around the same level as Hibs.

This very much appeals to my symmetry OCD. Lovely.

I've finally given up looking at the league table to see how close we are to the relegation zone. Old habits die hard. Thanks Unai and the team.

Onwards and upwards from now on!!

Might sound strange in a game where we missed at least two sitters (Watkins and McGinn) and other really good chances after brilliant flowing moves (Zaniola and Bailey), but that was utterly ruthless. We were like a cat just killing a bird slowly without mercy because we could, toying with Luton, without ever needing to get out of second gear.
I was slightly cautious before, thinking they would be tough to breakdown, when will I learn.
I really hope we beat Forest and Fulham now, as it will really make the triple header of Spurs, Man City and Arsenal, so exciting, bring them all on.
