Was going to go to this but thought £42 in the North Stand was a bit steep. Think I’ll keep my powder dry for ‘bigger’ games.
Should be a comfortable victory but I’ll settle for 3 points however it comes.

I can't get onboard with any negativity about this game. They've won once, we've got 14 points more than them after just 9 games, we're in fine form and on a tremendous run at home. They might try to bore us into submission, but we're the embodiment of patience these days. I'd be unsurprised should they not register an effort on target all afternoon.

4-0. Douglas Luiz, McGinn, Watkins and Zaniolo.

Yep, He was doing really well with them for a while and was in the mix for some international caps but he's barely played for about 3 years now with 3 or 4 loans mixed in.

The turnaround since the last team is remarkable. We need to keep the run going.

 :P

A couple of random other things, we have a losing record against Luton. W15 D5 L19. That's mainly down to our woeful record at their place.

And the last time we played them at home in the league we won 4-0. October 1991, scorers were Yorke, Regis, Richardson and Paul Mortimer. Att: 18,722.

I remember that game Mortimer pretty much dismissed the fans after scoring didn’t he with his celebration?

Hard to forget that performance. Richards not trying a leg and Okore having a horror show. Ayew did well to recover his career from playing, and struggling, with such a crew.

He didn't. IIRC a couple of weeks later he was off to Palace. Got to be a contender for 2nd shortest Villa career. Bought in July, sold in October.

Don't know why but I'm a bit anxious about this one whereas last week and mid week was very calm. Probably down to all them years I worked in and around luton , plus I was at the 0-2 defeat at their place 86 I think , was a shit tip then too.

It’s been said on here a few times already but complacency is a massive threat here. So no resting key players and record score predictions. Think we’ll win comfortably if we play the way we have been, 3-0 anymore is a bonus

We’re not going to be complacent. We’re going smash them to smithereens. They’ll wish they were never promoted.

We've scored 12 more goals in all comps do far than we did in the league all season when we went down.
