Barkley and Marvelous starring as two former footballing team-mates with very different motives, thrown together once more after some time apart as they battle life in a grey Hertfordshire town.

Pilot for a Ch5 drama-series. I'd give it 12 minutes ahead of the first ad-break before making any judgement.

Bedfordshire.

Correct i had the displeasure of working in the area (Luton/Dunstable) for a few years .
Best thing to come out of Luton is 24 Hours in Police Custody

Second or third-bottom, I think.

We’re going to absolutely obliterate them. I usually say 27-0, as a joke. Not a joke this time.

The closest I've been to Luton is a little village called Toddington where Black Country Lions used to stop when we were playing down that way. There used to be a market on sometimes. One of the stalls sold Freddo's.

It’s an absolute dive. Stayed in a hotel without windows (I mean, no place for windows. Not just big holes where windows once were) when I was flying from Luton once.

Violence appeared a possibility on every street.

That's also a good way to get out of Luton in a pinch.

Luton is an absolute shithole of the highest order, up there with Stoke for absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever.

I was once desperately trying to find some digs in the pre-internet age as I was on a course in Watford, and I ended up at a B&B in Luton and he showed me the single worst room I've ever seen. I looked at it and just walked out and drove home instead.

I'm normally loathe to call anywhere a 'shithole' but Luton is relentless.

Yep, I had to spend a week working there a while back and I hated everything about the place.

I had to drive through Toddington often to get to our office . There are a lot of pubs in that village in fairness. I think its where the wealthier people from Luton go on holiday

This is the kind of game traditionally where it all comes skidding to a halt.

I think we will be tired after last night's exertions and Emery not able to put a game plan into place as Luton don't have a system or style to plan against.  Having said that, I think we will squeeze out enough energy to win 1-0 or 2-1.

I fully expect us to bollock their eyes out.
