Aston Villa v West Ham Post-Match Thread

Brighton and West Ham were big tests of where we are as a side. 6 points and 10 goals is the answer. I rather like where we are.

Most Villa thing ever would be to lose at home to Luton!

But this is Emery's Villa!

We're a top side.

Now we have to stay together.

Come on.

Great win.  Looked steady all game.  Nobody had a bad game. Bailey and Watkins took their goals beautifully.  Onwards and upwards!

Unai Emery. Stone cold genius.

There will be a statue of him outside Villa Park one day.

After we got battered first game at Newcastle, Alex Ferguson said he was most impressed with us despite the result. Maybe he knows a thing or two about football. This is some run we are on at Villa Park and overall. Our record in 2023 is just incredible given where we were 12 months ago. What an amazing story this is turning out to be.

Some lovely football and goals.
Didn’t really get out second gear.

Marvellous stuff - had a tough phase but came through it and won handsomely.
