I think the way Emery spoke after the Brighton game we can expect a changed team.  I can't recall the exact words but I think he talked about treating all competitions differently or something similar?

I think Mr. Emery has his sights set on a top 4 finish

Chances are Top 5 would do for us this season, but I personally don't see much difference between the teams vying for 4th and 5th-6th this season. There's a top 3, most likely, and the rest is fair game.

Diaby isn't a shock, I hope Ramsey is just precautionary and he'll be good to go at the weekend. Although given how long he's been out you'd think they'd want to give him some game time.

If we can't get a result against this lot without those 3 we don't deserve to go any further.

This is the Villa so not surprised at all about the injuries. As they are only “small ones”, I expect them to be back sometime around 2025

I imagine we will have seen Donk, Tielemans, Bailey and possibly even the lesser spotted Bert anyway

As near a full team as we can please. Learn the lesson of the last two cup games. Maybe Bailey for Diaby, and give Jj a run out.

Let’s win first and then bring 5 subs on as soon as we can

But it’s early October, not mid Feb. Fatigue shouldn’t be a thing yet.

We need to win this one.

Id start Ollie while his confidence is high and he will want to bang in some goals then when the job is done bring him off.  Hes been off for so long so play him now hes on fire .  Id imagine Zaniolo and Bailey , Tielmans , Carlos , SJM would all start.

JUst choosing between Luis and Donks but give Dougie 60 mins with Watkins to get 2 or 3 up :)

Jacob Ramsey, Moussa Diaby and Boubacar Kamara all ruled out for tomorrow night.

BBC only has Emery mention Diaby and Kamara with Bailey in training.

Quote
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery says Boubacar Kamara and Moussa Diaby will miss Thursday's Europa Conference League tie at home to Zrinjski Mostar after picking up injuries in Saturday's win over Brighton.

But Leon Bailey is back in training and should be available after recovering from a thigh strain.

As for Ramsey, the only mention is from Konsa about how good he is.

Quote
Ezri Konsa said the game will be a tough one before being asked about midfielder Jacob Ramsey: “JJ can be a top, top-class player, we can see already what he can do.

“If he remains humble, like he is, he can go right to the top.”

Pravda has the quotes on JJ being doubtful. Felt sore after both Chlelsea and Brighton games.

It's not about time of season, it's "load" factor. Too many squad members aren't fully-loaded while some of the first-teamers are more spent.
