Think Lockhead scored three up at Oldham. Possibly the coldest ground in England.

There'll be a fair few from back in the day, but in my life, 1970 onwards, at home in the league i'm struggling to think of any besides Brighton, Sunderland, Everton and Ipswich.

I know it's not 6 and a couple of years before I first went, but my dad's favourite was 11-1 against Charlton in 1959 when Gerry Hitchens scored 5. My dad idolised Gerry.

We were stumped chatting about it yesterday. Scoring 6 isnt that uncommon, so the fact we’ve only done it 5 or 6 times, in the league, in the last 60 years, makes yesterday more special.

There's the 7-1 v Wimbledon in February 1995 as well.

Yeah, October or November 1971. I went on one of the old special trains that British Rail used to put on - £1 return. Got soaked as it pissed down all afternoon when it had been sunny and blue skies when we left New Street.

Was 6-0 - Lochhead 3, Rioch 2 and Anderson.

And the 6-1 at Crewe in August 2019 as well as 6-0 at Barrow in August 2021 both in the League Cup.

We beat Hull 6-0 at home in one of Ron Saunders first home games, a Wednesday night in the school holidays 1974.

First league win under Mr Saunders, in front of a crowd of less than 19,000.

I was 14, went with my older brother who wouldn't have long passed his driving test. He must have driven back like a lunatic as we were back in brum about 6.15 to get the Argus.
