Some boos at HT. I know it was very shit but that seems pretty harsh after the run we've been on.

No not harsh. Each game is an individual moment in time.

Good from Pau.

Bloody hell absolutely diabolical. As soon as we rotate and/or go behind it is like someone has just let the air out of us.

Not nearly as much rotation as I thought.  maybe the plan is to smash them early and then bring on subs.

So much for that plan.

A glass of 2015 Rioja Reserva here. And why not? This game is about as interesting as me trying to hang the new curtain rail.

So has anyone else got anything dull to achieve that might be more interesting than this game?

Writing an article about non phloem mobile nutrient behaviour in almonds, its contribution to shell seal breakdown in non pareil varieties in California and agronomic strategies to reduce it. Pretty dull and been avoiding it all day, but might help ease the boredom of the game.

Garbage.

I have to go for a shit at half time and I think that's the best I can say about that half.

It’s just so casual and half arsed. It is pointless trying to draw a team in if you’re so slow and aimless once you’ve done that.

Emery does not give a shit about domestic cup competitions. I love the bloke but this pisses me off massively

Couldn't disagree more. Unai does all the work for this group. Tells them where they need to be, when they need to be there and what needs to be done. It's the personal skill level and effort of a couple of these donkey's that don't seem to understand that their job is on the line.

Get Tielemans off, he's making a fool of himself. So nonchalant, uninvolved and wasteful. Dendoncker not far behind - what the hell is he thinking half the time. He runs like his spine is fused together.

Remarkably bad actually! Really incredibly poor.

Olsen's been fine with his hands but his feet continue to give me bad dreams.

McGinn has veered between looking like a natural and a rank amateur in his position.

Donk started well but faded badly.

We've barely got the front two or Zaniolo into the game - they know they're allowed to pass to them right?

Tielemans...I don't know man. Not so much a poor man's Maddison as a destitute hobo's Kai Havertz. I don't know what he does, but I know he does it badly.

I hope Unai throws things at them.

Obviously Unai is the greatest human ever, but what the utter fuck made him think that it might be worthwhile to see what John McGinn is like at left back?
