Play the kids , Olsen, the bomb squad and anyone else who fancies it. This cup isn't worth any risks.

Part of me thinks put out the starting 11 from the Legia Warsaw game and give them the chance to work out the kinks, so if we have to go with that lineup again they're better acquainted with one another. (Maybe put Ramsey in to get more game time)

Another part of me thinks put out as strong a side as possible and keep the momentum from today going.

After the last round I assumed Everton wouldn't make the mistake of sending out their B team against us, but as someone pointed out it's quite possible they won't want the extra games and will be concentrating on the league, so won't be arsed about this match. So the team from Thursday should be good enough to beat them.

Brighton game is total priority. Heavy rotation required. This is what a squad is for after all

Olsen
Cash
Konsa
Torres
Digne
Dendonker
Tielemans
Kellyman
Bailey
Dhuran
Ramsey

Go strong defensively after what happened in Warsaw and then make changes if and when comfortable. As some others have said we haven’t won anything meaningful since 1996, lets not think we’re too good for this.

3-1  - Dhuran (2), Bailey.

No, bollocks. Play the first team

Let's win the fucker.

I think it's going to be a difficult game, and I reckon they'll go pretty much full strength.

A scraped win on penalties. Olsen the unlikely saviour, keeping out our Ashley to send us through.

It's a horrible trait of modern football(amongst hundreds of others) that it's nigh on impossible to forecast a result until you know the line-up of each team an hour before KO.

For what it's worth I believe it will be two second string sides with "savers" left on the bench (doesn't always work as last Thursday proved) and this will see us narrowly over the line.

The big question for me is why the Lower Grounds isn't open for this game???

2-1

Don’t get the “the league is the priority “ argument. So we move up the league and get into Europe, but league is priority and we end up not taking it seriously only to move up the league into, Europe!
We should have a crack at every competition we are in and with no major silverware since 1996 we should be going all out to win or at least taking it seriously. Otherwise why even bother turning up?

God I love Villa winning. I wake up, the world is sunnier and more fragrant. Birds sing Mozart, pigeons talk in full sentences. Clouds take on pleasing shapes - Watkins reeling away in celebration, Kamara getting his foot in,  the inviting smiles of almond-eyed houris, a single rose, a lion resting content. I go to my local cafe and get a cappuccino, grinning at the barman and saying simply 'Unai Emery', and he looks impressed.

I want it every game please.

Emery has said all players need to play so I think he will throw out a mixed bag of a team again. Not totally full strength but not a team of kids either.

A bit of rotation here and we can still win.

Maybe starts for JJ, Donk, Bailey & Duran

With the prices we are charging, i expect us to be taking it very seriously.

JJ, Duran and Tielemans all to start (i expect Olsen to start too)

Assume Diego Carlos isn't available? Could do with a big bastard at the back against Everton's giants.

No chance Everton will play a full strength team
