I genuinely don't understand what's happened since last season. We were really good, and now we look a mess.
It has been mentioned already. Tyrone Mings.

Bloody hell. Have some of you forgotten that two very important players of ours got season ending injuries in week one? Mings and Buendia are massive losses to us.

And 'embarrassing', really? Embarrassing was taking one point from 24 in january-February in the Championship in 2016-17. Not losing a tricky European tie.

Oh good, the hall monitor's here to tell us what we're doing wrong.

Going from 7th to 7th is a sharp decline for sure   8)

Zrinjski 3 - AZ Alkmaar 3

Get an equaliser and that'd be alright for the first night.

Didn't PWS post earlier that Alkmaar were 3-0 up ?!
Indeed they were...Zrinjski now have 4

Are Tyrone and Buendia out?  I don’t think I’ve heard that.

Martinez wasting a minute while we are losing to whack the ball straight to one of their players

We've lost key players to injury - I think it's that simple.  I think we've expected the team to just roll on because Emery is, well, Emery.  But Mings and Buendia are obviously bigger misses than we might've expected.  We are still really good in some area but at the back we're shambolic

I thought our B team would have been strong enough to get results in this competition, looks like we will have to go strong in ever game.

I do think it's funny that people keep mentioning Buendia when before preseason people were very vocal about him needing to be upgraded.

This is so disappointing and depressing.

Aston Villa FC: rinse and repeat.
