Chambers taking the stick but McGinn , Kamara and Tielemans posing absolute zero threat.

We can’t defend.

They should be down to 10.

We should have a pen for the pull on Duran

Kamara seems off the boil; maybe no JJ upsets the midfield balance.

Three things from that first half. Chambers has been terrible, the midfield have given the ball away far too easily and pulling a player's shirt when he is about to shoot from 8 yards now appears to be fine with the ref and VAR.

Bad team selection or cold hard proof that we're prioritising the league?

Most of us were happy with the team when announced

Or neither and players just playing badly.

Starting Chambers, who hasn't played a minute all season, is a decision, I would think.

Kamara looks off it too, tbh.

Anybody else got PWS on commentary?

Haha beat me to it. But I’m just catching up with the thread at half-time.

Think Kamara and Tielemans should be subbed as well. They both look knackered

To an extent we are experimenting with selection and it shows, but we have got to get game time into a few of these players as we are going to need them.

With Unai's record in European competition I'd find that very hard to believe

I thought we'd go stronger. A few didn't like the look of the defence either, too many changes back there, which might prove true.

It might be a case of thinking we'll concede but we'll score more, which works for me.

I think our midfield is way better with Luiz and JJ in the side. But obviously we will rotate and get injuries

Thing is we are not going to win every group game, but 3 wins at home, 3 away draws will be more than enough to qualify. We have to balance cup and league with these Thurs and Sun combinations.

Perhaps we all assumed our way to the final with all this funeralling chat. perhaps a dose of realism might help.
