Legia Warszawa v Aston Villa Pre Match
« on: September 17, 2023, 11:08:41 AM »
Here we go:
Thursday 21 September 2023 KO 17.45 BST 18.45 CET
Marshall Józef Piłsudski's Municipal Stadium, Warsaw.

Legia had a difficult match yesterday. They were a man down at 42' and a goal down at 45' but still managed to come back and get a draw against Piast Gliwice. This team needs to be respected and I hope Unai will put up a very strong line up against them.

We're struggle - having problems with Plan A at the moment.   Too many injuries etc.  lose or draw at best.

Need to start with a positive result - a draw wouldn't be the end of the world, but you'd hope we'd have enough to beat them. Also need to have an eye on the game at the weekend too.

Agree with a London Villian in regards to the team. We need to go as full strength as possible but maybe leaving out a couple who he can bring back in a couple of days later.

It’s going to be a lot about rotation over the coming weeks.
Sunday is the priority.

Would hope players like Tielemans and Duran get to start.

Maybe a chance for some players coming back from injury, such as Diego Carlos and Moreno to play.

Think Emery will pick a strong lineup.

It'll be hostile but we'll have enough to win. Also we need to win to start our "getting a better club coefficient score" and you get more money for a win over a draw. Also we need to win the Group so no fucking about please and giving Alkmaar any sniff that we might be taking it easy.

Really? Lose or draw “at best”?

They'll be up for it, and I think it's over a year since they lost at home. I'd be good with a draw, but we should have enough to win.

I wonder if Moreno will make his comeback here or is it a bit of a rough opponent to be easing him back in against? Maybe Digne will play again and then Moreno comes back in for Chelsea.
