Particularly when Ramsey is back I wouldn't mind seeing Zaniolo and Diaby as the 2 up front.

Don't understand how that isn't a penalty. I mean, I literally understand how. But it just seems strange to me that the rules have been written in such a way that this is where we've ended up.

Had his back to the ball as it came in so couldn’t really do much about it as it was fired in from pretty close range. I’d have been pissed off had it been given against us.

I get all that, it's not an inconsiderable argument, but it's just...it's a shot at goal that he blocked with his hand, you know?

If you’re arguing that the penalty should have been awarded because it would have been for us, I completely agree.

We’ve been much the better team but haven’t taken our chances. 🤷🏼‍♂️ bit more urgency I think will get the breakthrough.

I mean, that goes without saying!

I would love to see this.

I thought we were much better unlucky on the marginal offside and Ollie and cash both missed 2 good chances each.  Watkins is a worry when he’s off form

Diaby showed the level of player we need he took his goal well

Ziniolo looked good too - we have better players but worry those chances come back to haunt us

Good first half, the goals will surely come. Palace are dog shit.

Would love Eze in a Villa shirt, everything goes through him. Watkins first touch is woeful.

We need to get that first goal pretty early in the 2nd. Do that and we will win by a few. Palace came for a point and if they open up looking for an equalizer we will take advantage.

What is it now, 1 in 12 games for Watkins? He needs a goal second half but he and Ziniolo need to define their space as both are working the left channel.

I'm a bit disappointed with Dougie and Kamara. Both doing okay but not at the levels we've come to expect. Playing a front three has pushed them both back defensively.

Impressed with Konsa and SJM.
