They'll be nothing if not well organised, there won't be many goals, and we aren't up to keeping a clean sheet. 1-1.

Watkins needs to end his goal drought, with Guehi out you'd hope he takes advantage

Have we gotten any info on Carlos' injury? I know he's out for this weekend but I've been away this week and haven't been keeping up with the news, do we know what's wrong with him?

He passed away peacefully on Tuesday.
That got a proper belly laugh from me

Emi

Cash
Konsa
Torres
Digne

McGinn
Douglas
Kamara

Bailey
Watkins
Diaby

Think that will be the side.  Would be nice to get a convincing win to get a bit of momentum, as the league fixture list looks pretty good up to the end of November.

I don't mind being written off after losing to a side that most are expecting to be top two this season, takes a bit of the expectation off. Losing Mings may be costly just for his leadership but that's where a good manager earns his money. My only concern is we have no replacement for Watkins who has not had a good start to the season.

Surprised no one's really putting Lenglet in their line ups. Been with us a few weeks now and ultimately played 30 odd times for Spurs last season so he does have the experience in prem that Pau is currently learning.

Can save Torres for europe and perhaps return for Chelsea.

Given the injuries at the back that would seem a logical choice as Palace is sort of game where you can get away with a few steady eddies across the pitch.

I had totally forgotten we had signed him, its a decent shout.

Seems like quite a few players probably out for Palace. Olise, Guehi, Tomkins.

Vs a pub team.
He's scored 1 in 11 in the EPL .

He has, how many had he scored in the sequence before that? Just for balance

Any word on the Holte Suite?
Closed til further notice. Ominous
Maybe a RACC problem?
That’s quite some revenue they are losing every home game. I am sure they will find an innovative and fan friendly way if making it up. :(

It was open last Friday for an event so the Suite is fully functional. My cynical side suggests that someone sees this as a revenue stream to be exploited by charging for admission/converting to hospitality and that it's function as part of your season ticket is long gone.
Yes, but why haven’t they done that then? seems odd to completely give up on any revenue whatsoever.

Absolutely, but no odder than the "two badge" situation. Confused and illogical thinking seems to be the order of the day at the club, off the field anyway. Rather like someone coming in and making decisions to make an impact and impression rather than basing them on logic and taking into account the fans, sorry customers.

We'll all be referred to as clients soon.

The simplest answer is that it's probably a staffing issue.

The actual answer is it is a building site at present As it's having a complete makeover

But managed to hold an event last Friday? I'm sure the attendance was small compared to a matchday but it's things like this that raise eyebrows. Why not tell us it's having a makeover? Why the lack of information?

Two things are against the Villa today. Roy with his ultra defensive formation and the fact that we have won 10 consecutive home games so law of averages and all that. Two things are in favour of the Villa today. Roy these days thinks he can attack teams with players like Olise and Eze, if he does he will get smacked and good teams playing great football usually win games.

This is an important game for getting a feel for where we are.

So far we have hammered some poor teams, and been hammered by some good teams.  I think a win is important today - as is no more injuries.

Still trying to gague where we are - there are always going to be ups and downs, and we have been very lucky since Unai came in - but this season some of the challenges we all knew could happen are.  We have a lot of games, we have key players out injured, we have our one senior goal scorer off form.
