Bringing Bailey on for Carlos made sense as the starting setup wasn’t working. So I don’t blame Emery for that, he needed to do something. Bailey could have done better, so Emery was right to bring him on.

Can’t blame Emery for all of that. Bailey isn’t good enough away from home.

Emery is great, but he fucked up today. Hopefully he, and the players, learn from it.

I didn’t say he couldn’t be blamed. I said he couldn’t be blamed for all of that.

Bailey has to take some responsibility for his own performances too.

And that's that.

Sadness in my eyes.

I can imagine they’ll have hours and hours of going through this under the microscope.

We’ve gone from a team that struggled against anyone, to a team that routinely beats sides we should. An injury list that’s got to be the worst in the league but still managing to win 2 of the first 4 with 3 being away.
There’s some justification for criticism about the high line but if anyone thought we’d be competing for the top 4 then this is your wake up call. We are 8th (I think), and if we finish 8th and win a trophy then I’ll be happy.
We still have that weak underbelly that shows itself from time to time but I’d like to bet it’ll be ironed out given time.
A level headed perspective.

Because we were 2-0 down and needed  attacking options?

Can anyone really justify why Duran is here and not Archer?

Archer is worth £18 million. Duran not so much.

Can blame him for the obviously poor tactics though, right?

He’ll win us plenty of games with his tactics. But this is one that he lost from the outset.

Well said.  We are only 6 games into what is going to be a long season.  Lost to two very good sides, won the rest.  I'll take that.

Is that now 1 goal for Watkins in the last 11 premier league games?
Archer 1 in 1 for Blades

If cherry picking like this it is only fair to point out that Watkins has 40 in three premier league seasons which is a rate only Yorke and Benteke can beat in the past 30 years.

Watkins is the scapegoat when we're crap. You should know that by now. Watch the Ollie Watkins thread tonight.

The midfield battle was being lost and he brings on Bailey? Sorry, it was a shocking decision.
