Its going to be a long season. Without Mings we have a bottom six standard Defence.

Well this is just nonsense, what we have is a defence that struggles against express pace, being exposed by the quickest attack in the league.

This and Newcastle shows we are not able to go toe to toe with decent sides, at least away. I hope that from now on Emery sets us up way more defensive and spoiling in these away games and not so open. Better 0-0 than getting hammered.

Well if we can beat the poorer sides then at least relegation won’t be a worry. Woooo

Hate the way the negativity creeps back in on here so quickly. We are away at Anfield without Mings with new players still bedding in.

And Watkins still bedding in.

Yeah but we were all hoping we would be competing against these top 6 sides because that’s where we see ourselves
Not the case so far

It's the nature of the defeats, we're absolutely miles off where we thought we were on the evidence so far

Emery gets it right far more often than not, but when he gets it wrong it tends to be a bit of a car crash.

Bringing Bailey on was a mistake.
Doubts starting to form.

you been gunning for our best manager in 25 years since day one.

Bailey was a mistake, we needed someone to press the opposition and not give them time on the ball, Bailey is the exact opposite of that and has never showed much away and definitely against better opposition. Yet still always seems to be the go to man for some reason. Unai is great at some things, Bailey is not one of them unless it is a team we can dominate, and even then it is close.

We'll give them a better game at VP I'm sure.

Anfield has simply been too much for someone like Pau Torres so he certainly needs to step up at other tough away grounds as season goes on.

Kamara also been really disappointing.

It's a bad day but we responded after Newcastle and I expect the same after the break. Beat Palace and get something v Chelsea and it will be at least 10 points from opening six and that's a solid start in anyone's book when we've had 4 away and just two at home.

Man Utd still finished third with a very iffy record against the top six.

I’m disappointed, with them signing a whole new midfield and Van Djik suspended I thought we’d at least give them a game.

I did expect better than this. But this is a bad day, at the worst place to have a bad day. Emery will make them suffer for this, I doubt we’ll see a performance this bad again for a while.

Spmebody posted similar after the Newcastle game.
