What an arrogant piece. A Man City type of preview. Almost makes me wish we would get beat 6-0 just to 'egg the face. Almost.'

I’m looking forward to it. In my lifetime we haven’t played a Scottish club in a European competition so this is a first for me and many more if not all I imagine. It’s Hibbs and if I have to like a Scottish club they’d be my club because I have friends who support them and I have a great fondness for Edinburgh. To not go to the game would be disrespectful. Hopefully we see Tielemans start along with some fringe players.

Brilliant stuff Dave delivered with the usual tone.
And you almost avoided Trainspotting references.
At least you didn't mention Gregory's Girl.
Ah shite!

To be fair, we did just stroll to a 5-0 away win against them without breaking a sweat. If you can’t have a degree of confidence after that, when can you?

Do away goals count double? Asking for a friend

Never understood this "rule". If you lost 1-0 at home and lost 5-4 away you didnt go through 8-7 on aggregate.

It was aimed at discouraging the “park the bus” approach for away teams but only applied if the aggregate scores were equal, e.g. if you win 1-0 at home but lose 2-1 away then you go through on the away goals rule.

I miss it, it's taken away some drama.

Yes, it was horribly cruel at times, but you can no longer see a tie swing from one team going out to a sudden reversal with just one goal.

It's just dry humour.  It's reasonable to be confident when you're 5-0 up.  Ribbing opposition fans is part of the culture of being a football fan, particularly when they're Scottish.

But do go ahead and flagellate yourself because someone had a mild joke regarding a sporting event.
