Anyone got a link to it in full? Every pass, there must have been 50 passes in it. What a goal it was.
And it all started with Olsen playing out from the back 😎
I counted 19, not good enough.
Poor bastards had no chance.
I counted 19, not good enough.
I thought it was 21, either way it was a thing of beauty. A real Brazil 1970 feel about it.
I lose count, too memorised by the beauty unfolding before me.
In that build up Torres and Carlos both play a lovely longer pass into midfield. That’ll be exactly what UE wants from his centre halves and why he wanted Pau so much.
Torres played the second highest number of passes yesterday and had the highest completion rate of 94%
Impressive.
Reminded me of that goal against Sheffield Wednesday under BFR.
19 passes from the point where Diaby wins it back in midfield but more than the passes it's really interesting to watch the players off the ball, there's almost always a a couple of options for the pass and every time a player gets the ball people are instantly moving into space for him, this is what a properly coached team looks like after years of us watching players looking around desperate for someone to create an angle for them.
I think we're now moving the ball faster, the passing is crisp every time rather than the softer passes we were making last season. Everything has a purpose now and it must be a nightmare to defend against, being pulled from one side of the pitch to the other, it's beautiful to watch.
I can honestly say, no exaggeration, if I had to pick just one failing I’ve seen in Villa sides the most in the last four decades it would be a failure to use or create space.
It was a problem that persisted from manager to manager.
I can't remember seeing a Villa team play like that before. It was like Arsenal under Wenger.
