First away game for me for quite a while and a top day out. Thought we were superb all over the pitch, controlled the game apart from the sloppy first 5 or so minutes of the second half. Special mentions to Diaby and McGinn but no criticism of anyone today a brilliant all round team performance. Loving the new songs getting an airing as well even if I can’t make out the words of all of them.

On a side note, is there a pronunciation guide for our players?  I've seen announcers use all kinds of variations whenever I can watch.

Dean-yuh, Dean-yay or Dean?
Dee-yah-bee or Dee-a-bee?
Martin-ez or Mar-teen-ez?
Kuh-mar-uh or Camera?

I'm still not that sure on John Sleeuwenhoek and Brian Greenhalgh.
Tulip and BG.....easy ;)

Martínez has an í rather than an i so it's mart-een-ez. Digne was unveiled earlier in the thread as Dean. No idea about Kamara.

This appears to be what happened

A lot of pearl-clutching going on here. It's just fancunter. We sing the national anthem at them, they throw bricks at our players and staff. That's what fancunter is. We accuse Liverpool fans of being 'always the victim', Burnley fans hire a plane to deliver racist messages. It's all just fancuntery, you woke snowflake weirdos.

Think there is a bit of a difference between singing the national anthem at a match to wind Scots and scousers up, and throwing bricks at the windows of a team coach as it motors down a main road isn't there?

Jeeese. That could have been catastrophic. What absolute morons. I 100% expect this to have criminal proceedings.
As an aside, can anyone make out what the illiterate toe rags say?

Yeah, his false equivocation falling flat.

I think Paddy's employing irony.

My own dad's take was "oh dear, wait until they come to VP, they'll find we have our own share of lunatics".

As if that's anything to be proud of. It's depressing.

As plenty have said, this isn't some 'nawty boys' looking for fisticuffs, it is one or two daft ****** who could've killed scores of people in a traffic accident.

I'm no fan of Burnley, but credit to them and their fans for condemning it. I hope they catch the morons responsible and that Burnley fans and players suffer no comeback, because it isn't - and shouldn't be - on them.

Still worry about our Defence. Looked very shaky at times, and the only decent team we have played so far put 5 past us.
Just hope today was due to the Olsen effect.

This is how I feel, too.

You need to grow a pair mate. The lads of Big Talk didn't fanny around at Goose Green because of a few bricks. This is what we want, isn't it? Their lot having a go at our lot. It's just the fancunter as it was designed and meant to be. Don't clutch your pearls, get singing!
