What's this not scoring at least 4 shit. Sort it out Emery.
Our joint lowest scoring game of to the season, only 4 goals. Boring boring Villa.

Opta stats: Villa becoming a force away from home

Burnley have lost their opening two games of a season in each of their last three Premier League campaigns.

Since Unai Emery took charge in November 2022, only Manchester City (10) and Arsenal (9) have won more Premier League away games than Aston Villa (7).

Moussa Diaby is the first Frenchman to be involved in three Premier League goals in his first three appearances in the competition (2 goals, 1 assist) since Anthony Martial in September 2015.

Matty Cash scored just the second brace of his career in what is his 253rd appearance across all competitions, after his two-goal cameo for Nottingham Forest against Norwich in December 2018.

Ollie Watkins has been involved in 55 Premier League goals since his Aston Villa debut in September 2020 (40 goals, 15 assists).

Matty Cash's 20th minute brace is the earliest an Aston Villa player has scored twice in a Premier League away game since Darren Bent v Arsenal in May 2011 (15th min).

Absolutely bossed the midfield. We spent most the second half in cruise control. Olsen was ok I guess but he's no Emi Martinez. Ollie fluffed his lines again. The commentary I listened to was calling Luca Digne Dinya the whole game which is piss poor and very annoying. Overall another masterclass by Unai Emery.

How do you say his name, cos if you think he's a distant relative of Brian Deane you're more off the mark than the commentators.

It's pronounced Dean as in Dean Smith.

No it isn't.

I'll stand corrected then. Dinya it is.

Don't worry about it, he's just trying to divert attention away from the fact that 'Matty Cash, Matty Cash' scored twice. 8)

Very decent performance indeed. Helped that they were mostly shit, but lots of good displays out there. Luiz is just ridiculously good, and I enjoyed Zaniolo’s short cameo. Ollie though, dear oh dear the shooting boots were at home today.

We do play lovely football at times. Zaniolo improved us. A star for us in the making.  It should have been a 6-1 win but 3pts is 3pts.

Olsen did what he needed to apart from getting caught in no-man's-land near the end. He looks like what he is; a back-up goalkeeper.

Have to disagree, suicidal pass to Kamara , the headless chicken flap leaving Rodriguez an empty net, the guy is a joke .

He was inches away from his hat trick as well. He's really looking the part these days.

Matty Cash as RB/ RWB is mostly decent for us.

But Mateusz Gotowka - this new Polish right mid - is different gravy.

I think Kamara was more at fault with passing it back twice and being too slow to move it on.

Having seen it from a different angle now, that was crisp packet hands for the goal.

Considering our injuries, I think we are playing some great football. I need to look out my old scoring boots though to pass onto Ollie.
Loads of good performances again today with McGinn the stand out for me.
Can see Unai playing quite a mix of players v Hibs and, for once, I wouldn’t blame him.
I also think we’ll give Liverpool a good game next week.
