I don't want to jinx it but I almost wish we could skip ahead to the Liverpool game and see how we get on against a better side now we've burned off that horrible Newcastle performance.

The amount we spent on Diaby is quite possibly more than the combined transfer fees spent by all Scottish clubs over the last year or two.
This has me thinking. You have probably got Saudi forums called V&H or whatever, where they are saying "the amount I spent on my last holiday in London has to be more than the Villa spent on their squad over the last year or two".

so this is what it feels like to be a Man City fan against most teams.

This is how it feels to be hungry, this is how it feels to be tall

Some of them don't seem to like us as much as they did before the game

A professional performance where we didn’t really need to get out of third gear. I really thought that in the away leg they would provide a sterner test but the gulf in class was clear.

Digne was brilliant and they had no answer to his marauding runs. All in all the prospect of a European campaign is mouthwatering.

They are mostly lamenting the shiteness of their team and their manager as far as I can see. One poster accuses us (wrongly) of 'long-balling'.

Were they filming a re-make of The Birds in the ground after the game? There were bastard loads of them.

Feel much happier now as I’ve checked if Stevenage are in this competition and apparently they’re not. Phew!!!

It was like an exhibition game or a dads against lads game.  Lee Johnson is still a vile ******. Well done Ollie for the goals.  Why hasn't Digne played like those last 2 games, all the time?

There does seem to be a massive gulf in quality between some of the teams that qualify for this competition. I know you can't just give 7 Champions League places to English teams, but it does feel a little pointless when you look at who ends up in the group stages of the Conference.

Even better that they have tumbled that garden gnome of a manager.

Anyone know what happened the last time we started a European campaign with a 5-0 win in a frozen, barren wasteland?

Ah bugger the away leg was 2-0...
