Well being as he used at least one of the players picks to ask why they were still playing for Brighton and not Manure, I would hope he keeps our players off the spotlight. But also, as all of our players had such a good game (albeit didn't have to perform well either), there was no standout name for Crooks to try to latch onto. He said we were dark-horses for the league in summer 1997 and then we lost our first four games but I do think he's always had respect for the Villa. Maybe from how close we ran them in '93 when his job may have been on the line.
