I wasn't really expecting too any changes to the line up. Bailey is normally half decent at home so I wasn't really surprised to see him start.

Bailey looks a good Villa Park option, links well with Diaby

Everton were absolutely rotten. DCL is their best player but makes Coutinho look robust. The rest of them are a rag bag bunch of journeymen and under-performers. Whatever they played for Iwobi was too much by a factor of about a million. You can only beat what's in front of you though, and we did an excellent, professional job. It could and should have been more.

Mu nephew told me Calvert Lewin was playing in the Bartons and I replied "Yeah, for about half an hour"

I was five minutes out.

He's have enjoyed playing in the Bartons more I reckon.

It doesn’t seem like he really wants to be a footballer.
Even from the lower Holte there was a notable exodus of their support when the third went in, they have had years of shite and seem to be only getting worse.

We really need them to stay up. Hard to think of an easier annual 4 or 6 points. Even when we were shit

Everton look like us in 2016, circling the drain year after year. It feels good to be someone else's bogey side. Onwards and upwards.

Given the injuries we've had, and the thrashing last week, I think if we get to the International break with 4 more points, Conference secured, and no more injuries, we'll be doing alright.

Liverpool look not great this season so far but it's Anfield so you can't take anything for granted. I'd expect at least a point, but 3 is possible. Burnley don't look awful against Man City, and they haven't played since, but we really should be beating the newly promoted teams comfortably.

Hopefully after the International break we'll have Moreno back, Zoniolo bedded in, and Ramsey not far off returning, and we can kick on from there.

It's mad how much better than them we looked today. It boggles the mind how they've managed to squander all that cash they've spent.

Great win but Everton are awful. Another relegation fight, maybe this time they go.

Not to sound arrogant, but I thought we looked in complete control throughout. And barring a great save from Pickford for Diaby's volley and if Watkins rolls his effort and it curls in, instead of out, that could easily have been 6 (six), without ever really breaking a sweat.

We did to Everton what top sides have been doing to us for years. Turned up, rolled them over and tickled their bellies, all while rarely leaving second gear.

Yep felt exactly like that.

I have seen a couple of posts on this site saying along the lines of "We are going to funeral Everton"

I think thats in bad taste too.
Well, it is not really. It is a figurative expression which was used by an erstwhile, and very likeable poster called 'Sarunyu' whose English seemed to be that of the Southeast Asian variety.* On this forum it has become an amusing synonym for 'battering' or 'murdering' a team. Really nothing that should get anybody all offended. Unlike talk of rape of course.

* He/she/they would write stuff like  "I am sure we will funeral Bolton because we have Mellberg who is hard in the taggle." And stuff like that.
