Here’s the thing, would Unai and co have signed Ty, EMI and Phil? Because it looks to me today that we didn’t need them

It's a cliche but that really was the perfect game after Newcastle.

Low intensity team who have so little quality nowadays at both ends. Basically Everton are what we were a decade ago and they will go down eventually.

Midfield was on it today and we really should've scored about 8.

Diaby will be a special and gamechanging player for us. Only disappointment is Ollie seems to have started this season below part, average hold up play and as the season progresses we can't be having our main CF missing chances like the one Diaby put on a plate in second half.

Luiz also showed him how to take a penalty.

On to Edinburgh....

Tremendous first half performance. Dropped off a bit second half but didn't matter and they kindly put some goals on a plate for us. I assume the raft of substitutions means we're going strong on Wednesday

Great performance and result. That throw in for Duran’s goal was one of the most laughably bad things I’ve ever seen. You could see it coming before the throw was even taken.

What a difference a week makes. Thats just the tonic we needed .
McGinn different gravy today. Torres very good and Diego like a truck when he came on

Absolutely coasted that game from start to finish, so easy, and we had plenty more gears to move up into if they had been required.

Good to see Duran scoring, too.

Worrying seeing Coutinho and Bailey injured, mind.

Also nice for Torres to have a leisurely, easier introduction. He seemed to be doing a lot of talking and organising, too.

I had a gut feeling all weekend that we'd get beaten today.  Mystic Meg I am not... thankfully.

Well done Villa.

I have a feeling we're either going to be really good and win well, or will be shit. One extreme or the other.

Yeah this definitely won't be a meh day, it will be an extreme.

At least it was the good extreme!

Very good performance against an admittedly very poor side. Could and should have had at least a couple more goals too.

Does the Coutinho injury stop the sale of Aaron Ramsey now, or do we have to go back into the transfer market?
