Aston Villa v Everton Post-Match Thread

Nice and easy. If there's one side you want to play after being twatted on opening day it's at home to Everton. We were good, they were awful.

That was an absolute piece of piss. Still managed to get 2 injuries from it mind.

McGinn MOTM by a country mile.

4-0 and we didn't have to get out of 2nd gear.

As expected, nice to get up and running for the season and pleased for Duran to break his duck. Everton absolutely woeful, they'll struggle all season.

Very stop start  second half with the injuries and I'm kind of disappointed we eased off a bit but then on the other hand it's bloody lovely to see us control games like that. Big plusses are the performances of the midfield and a goal for Duran, if anything Everton look worse  than last season.

Excellent stuff. Completely bossed it. Digne and McGinn were excellent, Kamara had his intensity back. Pau looked commanding. Diaby is going to be a star and special mention for Bailey - he was brilliant.

Good response after last week but can't get carried away, Everton were rubbish.

Injury to Coutinho puts a bit of a dampner on it too. I know he's not as integral as the other injuries, but it feels like one thing after another lately, injuries wise.

Seems post the match thread with a normal title and normal business resumed. It isn't rocket science....... ;)

Long may the most played English football fixture remain that way (and I don't mean we're both relegated).
