I'm going 3-0.

Everton look like they couldn't hit Tescos with a car, and even allowing for some defensive wobbles from us I don't think they'll punish it the way Newcastle could.

I'd go:

Martinez

Cash Konsa Torres Digne

McGinn Tielemans Luiz Philogene-Bidace

Diaby Watkins

I reckon what he actually will do is agree with your Konsa and my Kamara, so no Carlos and Bidace.

Entirely possible.

He did have a good game against Lazio the other week, and he did well in that first few months after he signed but i'd still have him down the pecking order. I think it'll be Torres and one from Konsa and Carlos, but i'd like to see Carlos get some chances early on as we still haven't had a good look at him yet.

Martinez, Cash, Carlos, Torres, Digne, Luiz, Kamara, McGinn, Tielemans, Diaby, Watkins

Lets just play Carlos/Torres, they cost a lot of money and came with good reputations, we need to play them. Everton at home, Burnley away, Palace at home and a couple of euro games against Hibs should be a not too difficult run to bed them in.

In total agreement with you. Also if there were any option at all to drop Kamara like for the Donk or even Chambers I'd be for that. Just think it would send the right message to the whole squad that the performance last weekend was completely unacceptable to see the likes of Konsa and Kamara dropped. They certainly couldn't have any complaints.

Is Dendoncker still injured? And Duran? If so, what is exactly wrong with them? 1-1.

How managers react to a defeat like that is very important, Gerrard would come out and say there will be major changes, pick the same team and fail again.
UE has no choice, he has to solve the centre half situation but what he does with the rest is any ones guess.

I doubt there will be wholesale changes. However poor Kamara was last week, its very rare if ever that Emery has chosen Donk ahead of him, usually just because the former is injured. Dendonker also hasn’t had a pre season, so despite the fact he’s never really let us down imo, I would just find it very strange if this were to happen.

Obviously Torres for Mings, possibly Carlos for Konsa, but as the week goes on I think this less likely. Despite Konsa’s howler arguably costing us the match, he also made one incredible recovery tackle later on.

I would think Bailey would be out and either Bidace or Coutinho as a straight swap or Tielemans with McGinn moving out wide, this would be my preference, as we would have all our midfield big guns on the pitch for a game we need to dominate.

It’s not stubbornness though is it? People might not agree, but if he picks him it’s because he thinks he’s the right option.

I don't rate Bailey that highly myself but he wasn't even on the pitch when we capitulated on Saturday. Tielemans came on at half time when we were still very much in the game and did nothing. I know it was his first run out and people have been tired of Bailey for a long time, but I don't think it's as clear cut as some would like it to be.

You do realise Tielemans (who you bizarrely keep bringing up) wasn't the only sub we made?

The capitulation started in the 1st minute
