That could probably have gone better in one or two respects, if I’m not being overly critical by saying that.

Emery is not blameless picking that team.

We were arguably the better side in the first half. I don't think team selection was the problem.

He isn't and not replacing Ashley Young at RB is on him too

Do Spurs want Watkins?

Expecting Bailey to do any defensive work in the midfield was a serious gamble. They went at him every time they could.

I’m really trying to convince myself the wheels won’t come off. The defense shape with 2 6’s was astonishing.

No, they’re after a striker.

Wouldn’t swap positions with these geordie ******. I’d stop supporting Villa if the Saudis bought us!
They play hungry hippo football like Leeds did for the last couple of seasons. Sour grapes or not, think we’re a better team.

Death, taxes and Harvey Barnes scoring against Villa.

Back him every time. Very good player who we really should have bought. 10+ goals every season

We conceded less when Bailey was on though.

Playing Bailey was a mistake. It's as though Unai felt we could go toe to toe with them.

When has Bailey ever done well away from home?

On the plus side, nobody's mentioned the badge/crest for hours.

And yet we were worse in the second half when he was off. Probably completely unrelated, but the second half performance had nothing to do with Bailey.

At least we know Emery will be fucking furious and working on fixing it already

Gerrard would be out on the piss with his gangster mates having forgotten the whole thing
