Iv suppose he needs to give Carlos some game time, with Mings being knacked.

Possibly thinks we're rattled by the bad injury to Mings. Take the loss and move on, rather than getting thumped 4 or 5-1.

Cash and Bailey are not good enough.

We needed a RB upgrade this summer and haven’t got one

A centre forward with more than one trick might help too.

The annoying thing is we've had plenty of time to do something and haven't.

If we've written this off then give Archer 20 minutes please.

He scores a consolation and that might be the making of him at this level.

Our midfield has looked like it did under smith and gerrard

We will be much better at home and against the vast majority of this league. Today has been shit for much more than the result. Newcastle will one of the hardest places to come for every team in the league

How about you get behind them and stop slagging them off?

Feels like heads have dropped now and we don't seem to have anyone to gee us up a bit.

I hope the players don't give up as quickly as some on here.

We have well over 20 mins left. All they have to do is get one and you never know.

We are at the stage where really fine margins are important.  We've missed 2 sitters and can't continue to do that if we want to move up.  That is going to cost 100m pounds to sort out.  Or we might get lucky.

I'm not sure that bringing Carlos on was the substitution to get us back into the match.
