Be optimistic Nev. I see deer in woodland nearly every night.

Great article.

We have never in my lifetime which is a very long time indeed had a manager of this calibre. Whatever the results good and bad we have to back him to the limit, this is our time.

I saw these last week. Perhaps it's an omen?

I go along with that.  He's the type of manager we've been yearning in these more sophisticated footballing times. For me, no former manager can be compared, he's light years ahead of all of them, even the best of them based on what he did last season.

Good article Nev

A good read, thank you.

I bought into the takeover after Doug sold up - it felt like we were starting to do things properly. The mobbing of the new manager in the North Stand car park, the coverage, the pubs, the coaches, the mosaics, the players, the kit manufacturers, etc. When really - and I feel I understand it now - what we needed all along was a top manager.

I can't wait to see what happens with Villa next.

We have every right to be optimistic this season.
A football obsessed, tactical magician at the helm who’s renowned throughout football as being top class.
Of course, we’ve been bitten before and we’ll all be cautiously optimistic but this coach seems different and he’s been backed. He makes players better and doesn’t rely on spending billions and he fits us like a glove.
Have we found our modern day messiah?
