            Emi
Cash Konsa Mings Digne
       Kamara Luiz
   Mcginn   Tielemens
     Diaby   Watkins
Yes, that would be it for me. But, like others, I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the fullbacks replaced with a 3rd CB.

Really hope we don't go that way with a 3 x CB. The likely team above is still very strong despite Buendia's injury. Tielemans playing in Ramsey's position will be interesting.

My outrageous prediction of the season is that Eddie Howe won’t be there at the end of it

That's outrageous.

I know it’s the way I roll

Will he be sacked, or should I ready the 'Deathwatch' thread?

He'll never cope without Tindall in the technical area alongside him that's for sure.

He's done a cracking job so far, but he has zero experience of managing in Europe.

I think Emery will go with 3 CB's and Cash roving , then Diaby and Bailey either side of Watkins . Would certainly give them some headaches on the counter

I've got Howe as the first Premier manager to get sacked.  They have a difficult start.

0-2 Villa

I had the same thought.  I think we’ll finish above them this year.

This is being shown live on Canal+ in France. Ace our kids!

Is that free to air? Meaning I could easily watch via browser now I'm here?
No. Subscription channel. Lots of bars have Canal+ and should be able to put it on.

Merci beaucoup, M. BE.

Shame,as there aren't really any bars here of that nature!

Right now I'd take a draw but reckon we'll get turned over 2-0. Penalty and deflected own goal.

I do not understand the pessimism.

We're European Aston Villa.

We're now one of the big boys again.

We can absolutely beat Newcastle. And we will.

Its going to happen.

There is nothing to fear.

3-1 Villa.

I think he’s a great manager but Newcastle overachieved last year
This year the fan base will be expecting more
The first bad run they get it will be the same old story ‘ he’s taken us as far as he can’ and they will want a big name in
Pressure will build and he’ll be gone before the season is out

In fairness, one of the things we gained with Uni is his ability to attract players because of his gravitas and the respect he holds within Europe, Howe doesn’t have that and that will increase the pressure for a bigger name

I’m putting money on it which will pay for my season-ticket next year

Villa win 2-1, Diaby and Watkins, match made in heaven, will prove to be the Prems top attack this season, push us on, we look solid at the back, interesting to see how the midfield link it all together, first 3 points tomorrow, at very least 1.
