The kind of signing I was looking forward to us signing we've just fattened up out on loan and sold. Most of our signings for the first team squad have been pretty obvious ones that needed no scouting.

Monchi  needs to be honest with us fans and tell us is this a one off window or are we fucked for a number  of years. Because  if its the latter we may as well lower our expectations  each season

He’d be better off getting back to his stall on Peckham Market!

I can't help but think for example we'd currently be better off if we'd put Barrenchea into the first team squad and spent the Onana money elsewhere. Admittedly there's an element of Hindsight FC but it never felt Onana was the best way to spend 50m.

Just poorly scouted, never had the technical skills to play in our midfield. An attribute of strong straight line running is useful maybe in rugby but even then you need heart to deal with the hits. Onana doesn't even have that. Wasn't in Man United who were also interested in him? That should have been enough of a warning.

Im still opened minded about Onana.  Agreed he’s not been great  for us so far but the games I saw him play for Belgium as a 6  suggested to me has some way to go to reach his ceiling here

Got to go. Huge amount of money spent on players that haven't taken us backwards.

Guessand looks championship level all the way. For £26m and £90k a week. Absolutely terrible job.

I agree. Squad's getting worse. Last 300m spent is laughable.

the guy's a clown. spent all summer saving his old pub team instead of bothering to do his job.

He’s been a disappointment, I have to say.

I can’t understand why Somniloquism rates him so highly.

Makes me wonder if the senior players in the squad would be happier if him and his book of contacts found themselves another club.

Should wait until the end of the season before writing off his signings imo.

Yeah we need to wait until they do something really shit, like becoming our all-time Premier League top scorer.
