The fact it's Man Utd makes it much worse.  If he was going to play somewhere abroad, I'd be less triggered.  I think he's a great player - world class sometimes.  So yeah, this news can fuck off.

Tbf to Tielemans in the time I've known him at Villa, he hasn't come across as a snidey, diving, cheating player ever alert to harrassing the referees, so I'm not quite sure how he's going to fit in at manure who have a certain mo when it comes to recruiting players.
But if you're in your 30th year, £200k p/w playing for a club significantly in debt under the leadership of the world renowned ex-Middlesbrough manager is a hard package to resist.
Thanks for the part he played in Villa's ongoing rise, in the time he's been at the club (and especially for the goal in Istanbul). When he's on it he's an excellent player.

There seems to be a misunderstanding regarding this sales impact in our P&L, it does not matter when we receive the money or how long his contract has left the whole fee will be 100% profit.

I do know that seeing him in that shirt is going to bring up some sick into my mouth.

Gutted about this one. I hope we've got something up our sleeve.

I, for one, welcome our kind and fair Rwandan overlords.

Can't wait for next seasons home game and all the glory hunting little fuckers wearing shirts with Tielemans on the back of them.

Whatever he might have done in the past, rest assured he will still get the foul mouthed abuse that all his other shower of shite new teammates will get.

Tielemans was worth a lot more than the £0 transfer fee we paid so swings and roundabounds.

Exactly
We’d have been looking at paying £30-35m back then, so, surely, receiving £35m for him is like getting £65-70m?

We paid him and his agent millions in signing-on fees too.

Has this clause always been there or has it only just come into effect, for some reason? Surprised it hadn't been activated before.

We do that anyway, transfer fee or not.

It could have come into effect when there is only 2 years left. Or it could have been higher and then reduced as the contract ran down. Or it could always have been there but he didn’t want to leave before

Do I remember Unai going ballistic at youri during a game this season just gone? Or was it someone else?

I know at the time it was all laughed off etc but I remember very similar thing with Luiz before the sold him off to Juve.

Sure, but he and Bouba's would likely have been far higher due to their Bosman status. Obviously still cheaper than buying them for their market value if they had been under contract at the time.

As Shankly once said “you get rid of him when he has one season left in him”. What might his value be worth in 12 months time.
