If we play a high line again all I know is I'll be papping my pants all game. Liverpool are not Spurs (sadly).

Notice that Spurs kick off at 12.30 - so we will all now the result of their game before ours starts.

Worst case scenario, Spurs win 2 0, we lose 2 0 and its all over pretty much. Think them going first is a real help as I think if we end up Saturday no worse than a point behind them we will overtake on the last day.

Yeah, when I've looked at RAWK recently the vibe is very much, Newcastle and Yanited are bound to drop points whilst we're beating Villa.

Only Manure (12) and Chelsea (7), have more wins than us at Anfield in the Prem with 6.

And we have presumably played 4 less times there than Chelsea.

They seem to be on a roll, but when I've watched them recently, haven't looked that great. If we can stop Salah, we've got a chance.

Law of football averages says they are due to drop a couple of points imminently. We have the team and the manager to do that.

Exploiting the space behind TAA is the key to us getting anything here.

I think we will and get a 1-1 although frustratingly that may not be enough to finish 7th.

It 'feels' like we have a decent record there but that stat is still a surprise. Hopefully we make it 7 on Sat.

The Benteke game and the one when Gerrard got sent off come to mind, but my favourite was pre Prem when Andy Gray was in his pomp.

Even a win quite possibly won't be enough. If Spurs win both remaining games 1-0, then we'd have to beat Liverpool and Brighton by a combined score of 5-0 or equivalent.

We have to look after our own business which is going to be hard enough. Spurs are very hot and cold so they could fuck up both games, and especially if they need to win at Leeds. Brighton were brilliant at The Bottlehad last weekend but tonight won’t be easy and Man City. They should win vs Southampton. We really need to hope we are in a position to win a place come the Brighton game. And even then it might not be enough if other results go against us. But given our improvement since Emery came in even being in with a chance to qualify when we play Brighton is some achievement.

This is true but Brentford will be no mugs at Spurs. Even without Toney they are a solid team and also have the incentive that by beating Spurs they will only be a point behind them.

The fact that they still have something to play for is a real positive.

It would be the most Villa thing ever for Spurs to lose both games, we draw both, then Brentford go above us with a win and a draw.
