Some of our players need to change their studs at half time.

Preferably, to 6 inch ones!!

Risso, it’s great to know that other people, like yourself, have been watching the same games as me. Like you, I don’t think we’ve played very well the last couple of games but, have somehow managed to get something out of those matches.
However, I did say that we needed to play with the same tactics as we did v Newcastle but are actually doing the opposite. Unless we start to press them higher up the pitch, we will get nothing out of today’s game and the same will apply v Spurs next week.
Also, the best thing Emery can do is to get our players to play with some boots that have got actual studs in them to stop everyone slipping over.

Can’t stand Fernandes, but I do find the jibes about appearance a bit weak.

Not sure how we nullify their threat over the top with the way we set up. If they time their runs correctly, we're fucked.

Could have done with Cash's pace against Rashford, to be honest.

First really poor half in ages (of course it had to be here) and the ref has given us fuck all (as per usual).

I'd forgotten how much I detest 'Utd'.  How many dives in the box?  3?  Casimero slid from about 5 yards away to take JJ out.  No card.  Body checks Moreno.  Throw in to them.  It's just so, so annoying.

I'd take Buendia off at half time.  Its not just that he's been totally anonymous, he was literally walking back when the ball was there to win at one point.  I thought he must be injured but I don't think that was it.  All he had to do was jog a bit and he'd have got the ball.

That said.  The difference is they took their lucky chance and we missed ours (which was probably a good penalty shout that, of course, got totally ignored).

Fernandes.  What can you say that hasn't already been said.  A disgusting sight in every way.

That’s the game I watched. Don’t know what others are watching who are saying we were awful.  Sure we have been below our recent levels, but for that goal and with a HT team talk to come I wouldn’t have ruled out a win.  The goal makes it harder now

That’s not the difference though is it. They’ve had waves of attack and we’ve barely got out of our half.

Man. United haven't lost a home game since the opening day. They've beaten Man. City, Arsenal and Liverpool at home this season.

They're not as good as they used to be but bit optimistic we could go there and limit them to little. Not like Emi's had endless saves to make (although should've done better for the goal).

We need to get the midfield looking up and passing quicker and then hopefully we can open up their backline which is vulnerable when stationary.

Buendia is very frustrating, but he's still created the most chances for us in the last 5 games. Can't remember the number but sure he was comfortably top.

We're up against a good manager, who has so far worked out a way to play against us. Let's see what the 2nd half brings.

I'd hope that we'll have a plan for the second half...

Come on Villa!

This will be our good half (hopes!).

It’s virtually impossible for it not to be in terms of performance levels.

If you can do better, I’m all ears (and so is Fernandes).
