Don't mind half-and-half scarves for genuinely weird matches. I grudgingly accept them for commemorative reasons (a Champions League final). That they sell them every game is beyond weird to me.

Villa newcastle the other week!! Do you imagine

5 or 6 years of sustained success for us and it will be no different outside Villa Park.
We could start “Half and Half Watch”.  And arm them with tasers and scissors.
Gonna out myself as a prick, but I have a collection of half & half scarfs. In my defence, I'm very picky. The collection is:

- TNS Vs Legia Warsaw (Champions League 2nd Qual Round)
- Connah's Quay Nomads Vs Ross County (Scottish Challenge Cup Final)
- Queens Park Vs SG Wattenscheid (friendly)

Has to be clubs from different countries, at least one of the clubs needs to be fairly obscure, and I have to buy it in person. That's my rules.

Me too.  I bought them a souvenirs when I attended Real v Barca at the Santiago Bernabéu  in 2014 and the Milan Derby in 2016. Never worn either of them. They are in the cupboard under the stairs with my match programme.  Oh I also bought a Euro 2016 Semi Final France v Germany Scarf - went to the Velodrome in Marseille. A bucket list ground for me.

To be fair it was Newcastle's big day out.

Seeing what they've done since shows just how impressive our victory was.

Would it be asking too much to have a repeat on Sunday?

Can Diego Carlos get a go at right back. Ashley needs a rest.

Ashley Young playing against a previous club - I'm sure he'll find the energy from somewhere. I'd play him...

Blimey, there's vague, then there's that. Are any of them even in training at the moment? See you next season lads. (Apart from you, Leon).

Only tells us they won't be in the squad Sunday. Tells us nothing about whether they're rejoined first team training or if they aren't, when they might be.

These 4 have been close to a return for the past month, ah well, we'll just have to do it without them and the fact we played walking football in our last match and have had a longer rest than them I expect us to be all guns firing. Would love to blow them out of the water but any victory will be welcome.

On twitter it says Matty was close to returning this weekend, but won't be risked and will be ready for Wolves. Bouba and Philippe are close and will return to training next week.Bailey close as well. Hopefully they will play some part in the final 4 games. We need fresh legs!

The worst kind of half and half scarves are the ones sold outside our own ground where we're labelled as "Aston V."

Someone needs to have a word with those people and tell them to put "Villa" instead if they must peddle their vile merch.
