I've just found out that Norm, a great friend to many of us through H&V and the mailing list, has died. He was a wonderful man with a host of stories about the Villa and his role in the early days of Brumbeat, when he sang as Lee Stevens with the Satellites. Sleep well mate.

There is a name from the past, I also recall him being one of the main contributors to the mailing list.

RIP.

He didn't say much on here but his most memorable post was a contribution to the Your First Gig thread. There were a few good ones, then Norm threw in "Eddie Cochran supported by Gene Vincent. Ask yer dad." You couldn't follow that.

Agreed and reading the name Gene Vincent has given me the Ian Dury song as an earworm, which is no bad thing.

RIP Norm.
