Be interesting to see what Unai does second half.

There was an ordinary and difficult match come up base on our flawless run so far so this is it I am afraid.

Last week was probably the absolute peak of our powers. It was brilliant. But in truth especially given the journey we’ve been on, this group isn’t going to play to those levels every week. We need to grind out a few wins also as we have been doing. I’ll happily take a 1-0 shit win today. For us to be properly consistent to the level we shows vs Newcastle we are going to need to upgrade 3 or 4 current starting players.

Don’t see a problem to be honest.  Brentford are good at home and they have rarely troubles us so far

I’m not saying we’re playing badly, but it’s more a comment about our maximum performance potential and how we can achieve that consistently. Just pointing based on our players, in all likelihood we have a ceiling in terms of our average. Not complaining

We weren’t great, but we also weren’t punished for it. Have to find a way to get JJ and Ollie involved. Plenty of space to carry the ball in the middle of the park, we just need Emi to pick the pass.

Mediocre stuff, they seem to know what we're trying to do and we haven't adapted. Hopefully Unai's got some ideas.

We're not getting battered by any means, but it's all a bit uncomfortable so far.

We need to get Ramsey and Watkins more involved, nothing in it so far but I think we have more quality.

I’d take a 3.0 win now.

It’s got to improve 2nd half. Boundia and Luiz reverting to the sloppiness they’ produce now and then. Defensively sound though.

Only look like scoring when Buendia gets on the ball. He's finding some good space off their back 4 but inconsistent final ball as ever.

Brentford switch play very well, really good battle between Moreno and Mbeumo.

Has the feel of one goal in this but we're experts at keeping things tight away and then getting a goal and hanging on so here's hoping we can create some decent chances for Ollie in the second.

Perhaps Brentford have been tactically good enough to stifle our play, and it's not really a comment on the players?

Don't get me wrong, I think there are changes to be made in the summer, but I'd not take one performance against a tactically astute team to mean much.

There not giving us much time to play out from the back and we’re going long a bit too much. Need to get Dougie on the ball more. Beundia having an off day so far. Fingers crossed we improve 2nd half.
