Their play is quite different to most which is why they get some joy and surprise teams.

They're not going surprise us and no doubt Unai has spotted a way of turning one of their key strengths against them in some mad way.

Unai has already started the process of funeralling these fuckers. They just don't know it yet.

A quick look at a Brentford forum reminds me how I fucking hate the fans of these pisspot 'Ooh, look at us in the top flight' / 'relegated after 5 years or so' clubs.

They get ideas above their station so quickly.

Brighton are the worst for that, fucking gatekeepers of pure football now

I suspect they are (but given they're a tiny club i've never even met a Brighton fan let alone know one). In fairness to them, they are the epitome of well run club and play fantastic football. Their problem is they have to get their transfer strategy right all of the time as they'll never be able to keep their best players so will constantly have to replace them. Looks great when it works but it's a fine line.

They are for now, but we’ve had those clubs before. Swansea were that club for a while. Ultimately sold their best players and lost their best managers/coaches and eventually went down. There’s Southampton. Who for a minute had all these top players and brilliant manager and then sold/lost them all, and years later will likely go down. Leicester, the same, won things, big things, but now on the verge of relegation. And now Brighton, and to a lesser extent Brentford. Have some excellent players, play attractive football, have aspiring managers doing well. Eventually they will lose those best pieces and won’t be able replace them fast enough or as adequately. They will slip down the table and go down or hover towards the bottom.
It’s hard for these small clubs to keep finding those rough diamonds and keep the pipeline full at the top level.

Long may it continue that these upstarts keep breaking the Cartel

Yes they get up themselves but for the good of the league, you need it

even though they can be annoying

We've had nothing but positive media coverage this week (I didn't watch the Tifo video on account of life being too short). I see this as the herald of the end of our good run, starting tomorrow.

Saints or Charlton never hit the heights Brighton are, though. They're outplaying most teams and I expect them to spank Yanited at Wembley on Sunday and take points off Citeh and Arsenal in the run-in.

We'll do 'em on the last day of the season but that's only because we've got Super Unai Emery.

This is the kind of analysis that makes sense to me (unironically, I absolutely agree this is what will happen).

It may tell us something about his posting, but he's probably just unlucky.

You can't move for articles on us and our Manager, the latest is in the Guardian. It's in stark contrast to a few weeks ago but the bedwetter in me (and others by the looks of things) is worried that it will all go wrong and once again, this is the sort of thing that we need to shake off.
