Magnificent, every single player. Bossed them completely. Even more so than the battering of Liverpool.

A convincing win, and a statement win at this stage of the season

In reality, we didn't allow them to turn up because we were more dominant over them than a BDSM madame.

Can I use that?
🤣🤣🤣

Not long got in.  What a game and a great atmosphere.  They just could not live with the tempo we played at and we probably could have won by an even wider margin to be honest.

Thought they all played really well, but want to give a special mention to Dendoncker.  That howler against Stevenage aside, he has been solid when he has played and has featured in some of our best wins and performances.

What an absolutely wonderful afternoon to be at Villa Park thoday. I thought this was going to be a test and the boys  just sailed through it. A superb controlled performance. Everyone yes EVERYONE a super duper 10 today. Well done  lads and thank you Emery.

And tell you what it's sooooo fucking good not seeing away fans over to my right celebrating. I used to hate that  but has not happened for a long while now.

What I love about  Emery is he has a clear plan for every team we play. Clearly not happy with the overall performance v Forest so he spends the week in between improving things.

Also I thought Henneseys in Digbeth was a Blose pub as lots of Villa in there today so my son told me. The city is ours as always.

Some utterly bizarre views of the game here. A lot of the posts are just gibberish. Why do they hate us so much, all because of us giggling along with the rest of the country when they went down?

They're a nothing team to me.

I'm not nearly tactically savvy enough to explain why but it was fucking amazing how regularly we found ourselves in acres of space. It was almost as if they had had 2 players sent off or something.

We moved the ball forward so much quicker than they probably expected. We hardly played our usual triangles at the back.

I'll just leave this here. https://www.themag.co.uk/2023/04/aston-villa-flat-track-bullies-and-heres-the-proof-or-are-they-a-serious-threat-to-newcastle-united/

He's right of course given that we have just destroyed what should be a mid table team

I don't claim to be a an expert, but it looks like a balls-up from Howe. I think they'd been told to press Doug as he brought it out, knowing that we play it out from the back.

Buendia and Ramsey then split just behind Guimares. Given Doug is better at finding an angled pass than anyone else we have, he then just chooses one or the other to put it through to, and all of a sudden we had Watkins, Buendia, Ramsey and Moreno all running at their defence without any of their midfield in the way.
