Got up at 5.30 am in Denver whilst on holiday. What a performance,  every man played his part magnificently. Unai Emery masterclass. I bet no one fancies playing us in this form.

Aston Villa 3 - 0 Byker Grurve Oil Tramps.

That... was absolutely outstanding in every way.

Watkins getting the plaudits and rightly so, but we kept a clean sheet too, and dominated them all over the pitch.

Mings and Konsa are looking so comfortable in possession now, it's just crazy. The coaching must be incredible.

It's jaw-dropping to see the football Emery has this team playing, a team that was doing so badly when he arrived, and he's only brought in one signing.

I can't see us finishing in the top four this season, but next year all bets are off.

Sublime passing throughout and a hunger and a desire all over the pitch.
Every player superb.
Special mention for the skipper, showing everything for the shirt.
Dougie Luiz shouting "Wake up!" at the excellent Moreno after his only loss of the ball perfectly sums up what our manager wants and is getting from the squad.

I reckon that's the best we've played in about 15 years. The 7-2 against Liverpool is the only other game I can think of that comes close.

Even that one felt like we just caught them on an off day, and a few of those early goals were deflections etc. There was nothing “freak” about this result, a total performance against one of the only teams as in-form as we are. It was quite literally perfect. I can’t remember a performance like that in 10+ years easily.

Ollie was brilliant, but even more importantly it was a brilliant team performance, at the moment I can't see us losing another game, for the rest of the season.

No offence to Bailey and Bertie but that's why I would rather them not be playing so McGinn can be free to do what he did today.

OK maybe a little offence to Bailey. I did kind of want to see if Bertie could do his Jedi mind trick for a 3rd game in a row though.

What a game. What an atmosphere.
