I reckon that ref was on mushrooms or something, he saw a corner that never was which should have led to Lurch scoring for them early on, the decision reversal for the free kick in injury time that led to the 'penalty' award, then the penalty itself were shockers.

And on that decision reversal, he seemed to change his mind after listening on his mike. Now call my cynical but I suspect someone at Stockley Park stuck their oar in, which is absolutely not supposed to happen.

I thought that was the point of VAR to say have a look at this because you have made an extremely bat shit crazy decision.

Only on key decisions on pens or dangerous fouls though, they're supposed to keeping away from the mundane stuff so we don't end up with 3 1/2 hour long games. And it didn't look like an obvious foul on the Leicester player, unlike the following penalty decision.

I'd also question where this 'eagle eye' was when the ref awarded that corner they nearly scored from early doors.

I was talking about the free kick that led upto the penalty decision. It was given to us initially until the ref spoke on his earpiece then gave it the other way.

The ref did send Ollie off when he first awarded the phantom penalty to Leicester. He waved his red card. If VAR didn't intervene it would have been one of the worst penalties given in an era of terrible decisions. I said at the time that I couldn't understand what he thought he saw. If he thought Ollie punched the ball out of play then the resulting decisions make sense. A trip to specsavers should be on his agenda.

My voice has barely recovered from Chelsea and it got an absolute battering last night! Head was pounding walking back to the car, absolutely glorious!

I felt we controlled the game from start to finish. That's doesn't mean it was the slickest of displays, as despite the endless possession and territorial dominance that we had- even when they had XI- we were a bit too slow in pressing the advantage. The delivery from the right was poor, although Moreno, pushed so high, really shackled Maddison and caused problems hitting the box.

I felt the first goal was so well executed, as we'd waited and waited and waited, moving the ball around, for the opportune time where their press actually came to meet us and Buendia was isolated. Pass, pass, goal. Just brilliantly executed and so smart.

We had to be very patient 2nd half, as they got progressively deeper and with the sending off, more compact still. What a finish from Bertie! Absolute scenes and limbs as they say.

To be fair I thought that was a very good routine executed at speed so Konsa really didn't have any time to avoid the block.

It was similar to the one we conceded against Man City, with an opposition player just completely left alone who then runs a fair distance for a free header. That Leicester player was the tallest person on the pitch, and he's not exactly nimble so surely he should have been quite easy to pick up.

Good result. Cannot believe we are currently sat in 7th. I read a spattering of national media comments earlier & one in particular stood out from the Daily Heil from some joker called Tom Collossime or something, & you could practically taste the tears from the garbage he wrote down. Which makes this rocket powered rise from the Gerrard debacle to now, all the more satisfying... Can it last? Who knows... I am just enjoying 'the moment', where some of my mates aren't ripping the shit out of me... 😂
