Is holding your ears a monkey gesture?

Dunno, earlier in the week I was convinced it was a sign you were lying.

Suppose only he will know but wouldn’t the stewards, a few feet away, have acted if it were?

Chelsea fans calling someone racist? Next thing you'll have Stripeys calling others bitter.

That penalty incident with Mings in the second half, when he was on the floor having just made a tackle - even supposing that the ball had hit him on a part of the arm which technically might have given rise to a hand ball offence, how on earth could hand ball (and a penalty) have been awarded for that? At the time, all the discussion on screen seemed to revolve around whether the ball might have hit him on the shoulder rather than the arm, but the fact that that VAR even got involved in that incident seemed to me to be totally ridiculous.

Not defending, but looks to me that he’s gesturing something like ‘not hearing you now’, but then I did get sent off as a 10yr old for sticking my tongue out at an opposition player.

Even if the ball had hit him on the arm it came off his head first so couldn't be classed as handball anyway according to the current (confusing) law.

Agreed. All looks relatively innocuous to me, even the bloke making the V signs at the bottom right of the screen seems to be doing so as part of a 2-0 gesture (though I don't know what the score was at time of said incident).

Daily Mail running a ‘Villa fan makes racist gesture’ story.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11929595/Aston-Villa-fan-filmed-allegedly-making-monkey-gesture-Chelsea-fan.html

They’re claiming that’s racist? Fuckin hell I’ve seen it all now.

Does it come with audio or am I missing something?

Someone posted a clip of this lad on an away day not long ago and sombody on here alluded to the fact it was our Darren Wooley.  Can either Darren or someone who knows for definite confirm please.  It would be nice to put a face to the name.  About 2:45 in.

Maybe if Chelsea fans really wanted to fight racism and avoid trouble with away fans they could film and expose their own fans who have "form", or ask those supporters why they spend 2 hours goading a teams away fans and then scream horror when gestures and insults are returned.

Just wow.
I don't think Chelsea would score if we were still playing now.

Mings/ Watkins - Southgate you fucking clown.

Anyone still think it was a mistake to let Ings go?

I like a good few on here thought McGinn was finished at this level but what a turn around

Now we need to punish Leicester
Agree about Mings/Watkins, if they continue with their current form they will be an absolute must for the next squad. Still think it was a mistake letting Ings go because he hasn’t been replaced.

We have Duran who is more mobile than Ings. Ings was fine for us but his game overall is in decline I think.
totally agree with your points but would Duran be a straight replacement for Watkins??
