Oh how I love beating these scumbags... 😂

Absolutely delighted with that. Not just the result. But the performance. Every player to a man stepped up & did their part.

And its great to have a manager who knows what he is doing. When we see changes, they make an actual difference.

Fantastic away day. We really do look good under Emery. Maybe if Potter gets the sack he can come to Villa as a no 2. Learn his trade from an elite manager..

We have significantly improved defensively in the last two months. I know they were profligate on some occasions, but our work rate was excellent and has improved such a lot.

When we got to 80 minutes, I thought we would win, whereas in times gone by I would be thinking we could still implode.

Let’s be honest we’d be crying blue murder if that Chilwell disallowed goal had been scored by us.

Disagree. Clear foul for me.

Yeah, two hands on his lower back, you'll get pulled up for that on a Sunday morning.

I very rarely feel comfortable in these type of games but today was different. I was quite calm and relaxed; almost watching in the knowledge that Chelsea were never going to score. Today was possibly John McGinn's best top flight game for Villa and his goal topped a fine performance.

I was confident it was game over as soon as McGinn scored. There's not a chance this Villa side under this manager is ever going to let it slip. We didn't even need to employ our full battery of time-wasting shithouseries!

My arse was a bit twitchy the last ten minutes of the first half when they were bombarding us, but I was expecting a second half onslaught that never materialised, and once we scored the second it looked like we could go on and score more.

Nasseff Sawiris' massive grin at full time was also a thing to behold.

In isolation, you could say that was a lucky win. But you don’t win six away games in the Premier League without knowing what you’re doing. We were brilliant on the break and SJM is now bossing games like he was in our 10 game streak in the Championship. Enjoy the beers tonight. UTV

I am a passive F1 fan and someone similar once asked me 'Do you think Hamilton is good or lucky?' I said he may be lucky to have a very good car but you don't fluke 6 titles, you must bloody good too.

If this was 2014 and Mourinho was our manager. The world would be jizzing their pants saying it’s the perfect away win

Correct.  As I've said on here before, if you don't want to be pulled up for pushing, don't put your hands on your opponents back.

Slowly but surely we seem
to break Chelsea’s belief they could get back in this game

it was a pleasure to see and really should provide confidence

I was really annoyed by the Sky tagline for the game:-

'Blues on the Rise'.

We were level on points with them and in far better form. So fuck the fuckers. Never liked Chavski anyway.

Some top performances today. Just hope Ashley Young can put in another shift on Tuesday night.

Brilliant result, and a perfect away performance against a team that was always likely to have most of the ball.  Some shocking finishing from them, (chilwell was terrible, but honestly, if your left-back is the one taking so many of the shots, then you're doing something wrong).

A couple of things I noticed; I really think Emi has got into their heads of some forwards in this league, and now has an 'aura' about him. A bit like Schmeichel Snr had back in the day.  For example, the Mudryk chance in the first half, there is no way he takes it that early and that meekly if he knows he's facing a different keeper one on one.  He's in the heads of some of these big players now, and I love to see it.

Also, a special mention for the bit of skill from Ollie in the second half where he took out three players with one turn out on the left - it came to nothing once it when inside (to Bailey I think?), but had we scored from it, that clip would be going viral right now.  We don't often see Ollie displaying that sort of skill or technique, or even trying it that often, so I think it's a sign of where his confidence is right now - long may it continue!
