Prowsey is the sort of player Liverpool would get under Klopp and he'd be the engine of the midfield for the next five years and everyone wonders why he wasn't snapped up sooner.

Honestly JWP is a great player. Make it happen Villa.
Free kicks aside, whenever Ive seen Ward Prowse down the Villa, he hasnt contributed anything. McGinn, Luiz, Kamara, Ramsey are all better, nevermind, whoever else we might bring in.

We need 4 in I think 3 starters and 1 new sub keeper.

We need a better RB than Cash or someone around his level to strengthen that area of the pitch. We need a center mid and a winger that will walk in to the first team. A striker on top of that would be nice but I'd like to see Archer get some minutes.

Unless we lose players this summer I cant see the squad having a massive overhaul.

Who do you drop for your new CM that walks straight in to the team, Luiz or Kamara? I think we do need another player in this area but i also think the pair we have are one of the best pairings in the league.

I mostly agree but I'd qualify it with:
We should be looking for a centre mid who can play the 6 and 8 roles in our 'box' (the latter of course meaning they need to be comfortable drifting out wide).
We should be looking for a winger who can play central as well as on at least 1 wing.

I don't think Everton would be interested in JWP, not to mind Liverpool. He's tidy and takes a mean set piece. That's it. Douglas Luiz does all that and a hell of a lot more. McGinn, Kamara, Ramsey....all miles more dynamic than JWP.

I've given up on Prowsey now. If my fellow H&Vers say no, then the answer is no  :(

There are lots of players who can look good in a middling side, and can massively improve when they step up. And those who need to be the main guy and bomb when they move.

It's quite possible than Ralph Hasenhüttl has spent five years holding a brilliant player back and he'll become the new Frank Lampard when Emery gets his hands on him. Or he might be a new Ashley Westwood, who is just being dragged from adequate to good by Hasenhüttl's brilliant management.

Unless someone's watching everything that he does, all the time I really don't see how anyone is confident enough to make the judgement.

JWP isn't a bad player but I don't think there are any guarantees that he'd get in our team ahead of Luiz, Kamara, McGinn or Ramsey. At his age if he's not better than we have then he's probably not worth signing. To improve from where we are now we really need 5-6 players for those 4 spots where you think 1-2 of them are unlucky not to be starting, regardless of the side we pick. If we can get to the point where 5-6 of the guys on the bench 'deserve' to be in the team and the rest is kids and players who can do a job for a few games then we will be ready to challenge the top 6, in my opinion.

Unai's probably watched videos of him playing for East Lodge FC Under-12's after someone explained the concept of an origins film to him.

The young Frenchman Kamara though is having a hard time dealing with the Prem's toughness and intensity. I say this because Kamara suffers injuries. On that side of things I believe he entered the league too soon despite having ability and class hes been a liabilty given the length of time he spends out injured.
Bailey is similar circumstances. However, a transfer fee was paid for him.
As a business finance decision who wouldn't be surprised if Kamara was sold at a profit.

It would be hard to sell him at a loss.
