What's going on with Palhinha? Romano says he'd done his medicals, had photos taken in the shirt, but now the deal has collapsed?

Did all that before agreeing the fee, and the German window ended at 5pm. So that might have been something to do with it?

Seems it was dependent on McTominay replacing him but he changed his mind at the last minute

Brennan Johnson to Spurs - damn.

Yeah think we might regret that one (if we were seriously in the race to sign him) as I think he is quality.  Think the way we play would have suited him perfectly and although he would have been back up to Watkins to begin with, I think he has potentially got a higher ceiling than him.

Signing him would have made it a very good transfer window.
I dont think he is a number 9, we have Diaby and Zanolio.

Spurs just didn't bother signing a striker, I guess.

I think he can play 9, but similar to how Watkins played before Emery got him to stay more central. I really thought we'd be in for him, bit of a bummer.

Nor did we. Two attacking players but no one who can do what Watkins does. Think this will come back to haunt us.

Maybe Duran can?

We didn't sell Watkins though, so it's not really the same.

Zych won't be able to take a spot on the bench. He's going back to Poland in a loan move.

Unlikely, I'd say. He's very raw.

How many is that we have out on loan now? Sinisalo, Zych, Sanson, Azaz, Kesler-Hayden, Barry..... is that everyone?

He is pretty similar to Watkins in a lot of ways, just maybe doesn't have the physicality Ollie has at the moment.  He can play centrally and is good at playing off the shoulders of defenders in that position.

£40m + is a lot of money to pay for a back up striker though and maybe that was the thinking In the end.  They must have faith in Duran, so let's see how he gets on.

The one you're referring to is Chisom Afoka going to Bradford.

Wolves now in for Che Adams. They must be dying over there.

Jesus Mary, imagine that, watching your club desperate to sign Che Adams, and looking at the clock thinking "please please please make the window end before it goes through".

Ha ha ha, how do you like them apples, you mind the gap wankers?
