I like Kamara, but I watched back the newcastle game yesterday and I thought he spent too much of the game not putting in much physical effort in general, whilst contributing not a lot.

I wonder if the talk has got to him?

Harshly, the Newcastle game was the reason I said I would take 80-90M for him. I think he blows hot and cold, but when he is not on it his head drops a bit and he gives the impression he has given up a bit. I agree that he is very, very good on his day, but I think I always saw more as a footballer in Luiz than I do Kamara.

I recall a point in the second half where he was ambling back to defence, the commentator said something like, Emery is urging him to move up the pace.

I think Digne gets a bad rap personally. I think he’s a good player.

I'm with you here. Maybe not worthy of being our highest paid player, nor as good as Moreno but I am comfortable with him being a valuable player in our squad.

He needs a target man as he doesn’t have the pace to burn a fullback. He worked well at Everton with DCL but less well with us. Compounded by the fact that Emery needs the left back to stretch the opposition’s defence.

Actually thinking about it, weird how our main tactic is built around a relatively unheard of left back.

Luiz suffered in the early days because the rest of the team wasn't very good, and he mostly played in a defensive pivot with with either Nakamba (limited footballer) or McGinn (not a defensive midfielder) and in front of other limited players like Engels and Targett. Kamara is playing with the best crop of players we've had in a generation, and he still occasionally turns in a stinker of a performance. He can be very, very good (eg Spurs away) but the one thing you need from that position is consistency.

I think you are over critical of Kamara.  He wasn't his best against Newcastle, neither were most of them.  He's one of our best performers when fit and is rarely inconsistent.

Yep agreed and I think people stand up and take notice of Kamara’s mistakes because they are in such stark contrast to his normal play.

Luiz has proved it can take time and I think they’re both excellent.

I'd be so pissed off if we sold Kamara for £60m.

This Acuna deal happening today is looking pretty unlikely isn’t it?

Maybe if it was Birmingham but Heathrow? (Also an airport for long haul flights).

He said in that tweet he was flying to Nice and Digne was on the flight.  Not sure if it's a wind up.
